It should not delete other user accounts, but as with any repair, you should always back and make restore points in case something goes wrong. You noticed I said "should not" I use that term loosely. There is not guarantee what doing any type of repair. hence the saying backup, backup, backup.

Thanks for the advice.
I seem to have solved the problem. I deleted Dropbox from my PC and the start menu worked again. Actually a very simple solution. Not too good for Dropbox mind you.

Yeah I have seen people say doing that works, but it does not always solve the issue.
