Prevent Hard drive format
#1
Does anyone know how to prevent accidental hard drive format.
Protect it from being deleted perhaps with a password.
I still need normal access to it as it's my working drive, everthing gets saved to it automatically so don't want to have to give it permission everytime I do a save.
Just need to saveguard against format.

I use lots of cards, usb sticks and other devices.
One time I formatted my storage drive which has all my photos on it, by accident, you know what it's like, a small mistake caused me a big headache.

I run Windows 10 pro 64 bit.

Thanks in advance

Some BIOS have hard drive password feature, there is also software you can use to protect the drive. You can also use encryption software like TrueCrypt, yes they don't support it no more, but it still works.
