Windows 10 Boot Loop (Ran Into Problem/Restart In...)
#21
Okay. If the Malwarebytes scan doesn't work again, we'll have to fix it tomorrow. I'll try and get the second computer and flash drive.

It still seems as though my laptop is infected with the Trojan. The second scan did not fix the problem. I'll just wait for access to a second computer and a hard drive.

I ran a third scan over night and I just saw it: "No Malicious items were detected." I'm still going to do the hard drive thing because I'm sure that I'm still infected.

Compton, do you know how much space the flash drive needs? I'm unable to find the 1T one right now. I'll be getting a second computer in the afternoon. (It's 8 am now so probably 4 pm I'll get it)

[Image: FRST.png] Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64 and save it to your Desktop.
  • Right-click on [Image: FRST.png] icon and select [Image: RunAsAdmin.jpg] Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Make sure that Addition option is checked.
  • Press Scan button and wait.
  • The tool will produce two logfiles on your desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
Please copy and paste their content into your next reply.

I would totally do that, Britec, but my laptop cannot connect to my WiFi. Would it still work if I transfer a setup.exe to my computer from another computer? (I'm not sure if my laptop can recognize anything plugged into it)

you would need a 2GB flash drive then you would take that flash drive plug it into to a next computer, then write Eset rescue disk to the flash drive How do I use ESET SysRescue Live to clean my computer https://support.eset.com/kb3509/?viewlocale=en_US

taken note of this

Thank you, Compton. I'll purchase a new flash drive with that much space. I'll follow that tutorial and update this forum.

Alright so I've created the USB with the program. However, my computer is not recognizing the driver on boot up. In that tutorial, it does not give detailed help for when the driver does not load.

ok you have to boot from the USB https://docs.esupport.sony.com/pc/VPCEG1_EH1_EJ1_EL1_series/EN/contents/02/04/01/01.html

I've just followed those steps. I see a screen asking to choose an operating system or a tool. The only tool listed is Windows Memory Diagnostic.
