Hey guys! Hope y'all doing well.
I been having this problem with my laptop lately of windows starting up, When I turn on the laptop everything seems to be fine, until I get where it says " welcome to windows " and the screen goes black but mouse arrow visible. Any idea what could be the problem? Thanks!

Try starting in safe mode, then check if there are any new drivers that have been downloaded lately.

leosteel111 If you have a Windows 7 recovery media you can select "Repair my Computer" and then select "Startup Repair". If that does not work then you can try running command prompt from the recovery and run the chkdsk /r /f command on the drive your OS is installed on.

Sometimes the boot gets corrupted.
Try the previous suggestions and boot to recovery console from USB or set up disk and type bootrec /Fixboot or bootrec /Fixmbr. If they don't work try typing in bootrec /Scanos that should show atleast 1 windows installation. Lastly try bootrec /Rebuildbcd.
If these don't work maybe try and use system restore if that feature was enabled.
