AVG vs Windows Defender

Recently download and installed AVG but why Windows Defender and AVG both still on??? Confused????

Hi Jon,

Since you have installed AVG, Defender should be disabled automatically, having two antiviruses enabled causes conflict between each other. Please watch Brian's video to enable or disable Windows defender.

Just wait for an update. I have ran into a lot of issues like this in the preview builds Lately.

Yes, what I mean is if you are having an issue with Windows Defender not disabling itself, when you install another anti virus then wait for an update, that will take that issue away. See the insiders test the new builds and when we find an issue we report it to Microsoft. But it takes time for Microsoft to get the fix / update out to the public. And your post is one of the issue I personally have run across.
