How to Use VirusTotal.com to Scan any Type of File or Website
#1
Are you worried if a file or website is malicious, but unsure if you are right, look no further, VirusTotal.com allows you upload any type of file and uses other antivirus engines to scan them? It gives you a full report if the file is malicious or not.

For this work to work, all you need is a working computer with an internet connection.

Let's begin!
Go to VirusTotal:

Select which type of scan you want to perform. File, URL or Search

How to Use File Option:
Click Choose File

Select the File you wish to Scan and Click Open

Please Wait for the file to be analysed and then the results will appear:

The file I used was a plain text file but your file will be bigger and might not be a text file.

How to Use URL Option:
Select the URL Tab, type a website you wish to scan and click Scan it!

If the website has been scanned, you will get this message:

If you want to Reanalyse, click the button and you will get the results:

How to Use Search Option:
Select the Search Tab, type either a hash, IP address, domain or URL and click Search it!

You will now get the information of what you searched
