How to completely update d7II
#1
If you are a PC Repair Technician, and you use d7II to troubleshoot computer problems, well you want to make sure it is up to date. Keeping it updated is very important because it includes definition/database updates so programs such as Malwarebytes, HitmanPro, TDSSKiller, ESET Online Scanner, SuperAntiSpyware and etc can detect and remove Viruses, Malware, Trojans, etc. It can also include bug fixes, improvements to any features and so much more. This process will also update custom apps, which were created by you!

To this, all you need is a working computer with an internet connection.

Please Note: You will need to disable your antivirus protection and firewall to update because they will block you from trying to update. You will also need to change your DNS server to a Google DNS server. Check out Compton's tutorial on how to do that: https://briteccomputers.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=817&highlight=google+dns. All credits and rights go to Compton for his tutorial, the reason I am telling you to see his tutorial on how to do that because I don't want to copy his ideas and pass them off as my own.

Let's begin the Tutorial!

Locate your d7II folder, open the folder and double-click on d7II.exe. When the User Account Control (UAC) comes up, click yes.

Once d7II has loaded, at the top, select Main and then clickCheck For Updates.

Once the Check for Updates page is loaded up, check mark the following boxes:
d7II
Default Apps
Test Pack
KillEmAll
dBug
dFunk
Update all 3rd party apps used by d7II internal functions
Update all Custom App Downloads

Then hit Update!

You will see a box like this pop up:

The box might not say AV_Uninstall_Tools_Pack.zip, but it is the same for each program!

Be patience, don't close the box or it will stop the whole process!
