Where is this broken cable located at in this picture? Is it on the motherboard or on the bottom of that small button board?

did the cable come off from the

#4 Power button board or #10 system board

Ah smirk24 does state in post#27 that the ribbon snapped off from under the button board.

Not sure what contry you are in but in the states it's here on ebay. I know it lists as a different model computer but it should be for the 15 series.

do you have any tips on how to connect the other ribbons inside the laptop hp didn't give me much ribbon to play with which is is what caused the ribbon to break in the first place

just take your time slide the ribbon cable into connector don,t rush just keep
focus

Oh sorry i wasnt specific, theres a ribbon that connects to the key board and the motherboard and then theres another ribbon also besides the keyboard ill see if i can find a picture
