xp restart loop

How old is the computer? Is it running in UEFI or legacy mode? Kaspersky Rescue Disk will only work in legacy mode. Is your computer a laptop?

Most Linux Live discs will work to get the data off, Kaspersky you may have trouble with as its KDE and older hardware doesn't respond too well to this DE.

Ubuntu is probably the easiest to get along with, when given the choice select Try Ubuntu this will run it straight from the disc and not install it.

You can then navigate the file system and save the data you want to an external drive.

Failing that, get yourself a XP disc and boot from it to repair the boot sector.
