After I posted the post I followed some advice and turned off the network printer and rebooted the pc. That local disk doesn't appear.
On the HP forum thread I posted someone had scanned the disk and noticed there was HP files in there.
I had recently updated the HP assistant program to re-find a new printer I'd installed. I think it must appeared shortly after that. Though yea it does seem intermitant.
Currently now its not re-appeared so far. I think its either microsoft or HP that have some conflict going on. I did a windows update yesterday. If its microsoft's side hopefully they might have fixed it.
