How To Scan A OS That Will Not Load
#1
[Image: image.png]

Most people have gotten a Virus/Malware at some time using a PC. And most of the time you take your favorite removal tools and with a little computer knowledge, your back up and running again. But have you ever gotten so infected that after the removal process you reboot, and your PC just says I have had enough, I'm not booting? The result is a PC that will not boot the OS.
(Damn it).  In this tutorial, we will explain two ways you can save your skin When Viruses/Malware have left your system unbootable.

To perform the actions, we will have to enter the recovery environment to run a scan, Hopefully, put an end to your anxiety. We will be discussing two options, that way if you are unable to access the recovery environment through the first choice you will have another way.

Your first choice is to use a thumb drive or something like it, second, you will use a thumb drive and a Windows Installation Disk.  Now you will need to download Farber Recovery Scan Tool And save it to your Flash Drive. There are two versions of this tool 64Bit and 32Bit you will need the compatible version for your system. If you do not know what OS you have, just download both, only one will work.

Plug the Thumb Drive into the PC. To enter System Recovery Options, we will need to reboot the system. As soon as the system starts to reboot, start pressing the F8 Key until you see the Advanced Boot Options. Navigate with the arrow keys to select Repair your computer category.
You will be prompted to select your keyboard language after selecting your language click next. Next, you will need to choose the OS to repair, and click next. At this point, your user account will have to be selected and click next.

Choice two the System Recovery Option can be accessed by using Windows Installation Media/Disk. You will insert the disk into the DVD/CD Rom Drive and restart the PC. Next press any key to activate Windows from the disk, your PC may not be set up to start boot from a CD/DVD if this is the case check your bios setting. Next click Repair your computer, choose language, click next, select OS to repair, click next, choose the user account, click next.

In the System Recovery Options Screen, you will have these choices Startup and Repair, System Restore, Windows Full Computer Restore, Windows Memory Diagnostic Repair and Command Prompt.

Now at this point choose Command Prompt a black screen will appear and you will want to type notepad and push enter. The notepad window will open. Choose File menu tab and select open. Select computer; there you will be able to see your thumb drive letter( make a mental note of the drive letter). Close notepad. Now this is where you need to pay attention, You need to type the following commands exactly the way they appear. In the CMD window type  e:\frst.exe or  e:\frst64  (for 64bit version) and hit enter. (Replace letter e with your Thumb Drive Letter) The scan will commence.  You will have to answer yes to the disclaimer when the tool opens. Now is the time to hit that scan button.

I HOPE THIS TUTORIAL WILL HELP YOU
