#1
Hi, Britec!

My sister has an old Toshiba Satellite C855-2L6 Laptop, Part Number: PSCBWE-0KQ00NEN.

This machine is broken. I have decided to get a new one instead of repairing it. Please can you find a laptop with the following specifications

What do you use the computer for?: Accessing the internet, doing homework, Microsoft office; i.e word, publisher, powerpoint, excel, outlook, access and all the basic stuff.
Are looking for the whole computer? ie: Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers etc: yes
Do you want to buy or build a computer?: buy
What Operating System do you want?: Windows 7 Home, if not, Windows 10 home
Do you want a Laptop or Desktop?: Laptop
What's your budget?: Around £700
Do you do video editing?: No!
Are you a gaming?: No!
Does the machine do everything you need it to do right now?: yes
Memory (Ram): 8GB (I don't mind with type of ram)
CPU? Intel Core i5: One that is useful for everyday use.
Graphics Card? on-board or separate card and what type: onboard, don't mind what type, just one that is useful for everyday use.
Hard drive?:1TB HDD
Warranty? a 3-year warranty, accidental damage cover!

This is not a spam post!

Thanks

Depends on what you prefer to work with Dells are easy to repair lenovos can go either way depending on model and they usually have a lot of screws but possibly well built.

okay, thanks, guilty spark! If I am honest, I just want a reliable, secure, laptop with the specs I have provided! Something that I know won't fail! I am not trying to sound rude, just want to be the hero for my sister Big Grin

Well a compooter is only as secure as the user and as for longevity it would depend on how said 'pooter is treated. The office package however may come at an extra cost but you could always install LibreOffice instead.
