Hi repairing a Packard bell all in one PC, on boot up it was showing no OS detected, removed hard drive tested with seatools and failed, replaced hard drive only to find that I cant boot to usb or DVD, originally running windows 8 bios set to legacy no response from usb ports ie mouse and keybord not working and usb drive and dvd drive not showing in bios or boot menu. any ideas.

did you you try resetting Bios

oh some times what will happen when a person post a thread I don't necessarily go back and read the tread from the beginning

If you have a failing hard drive that could cause booting issues with other devices. Remove the hard drive again and try booting to the other devices just to rule out the faulty hard drive. Hope that helps.
