Hi f23948,

I would suggest you first restore your system using AOMEI Onekey Recovery:

But before you do that, I would suggest you create a system backup image using macrium reflect just encase there is a problem when you restore your computer, here is Brian's video on how to do that:
Create Backup Image with Macrium Reflect by Britec

Make sure create recovery media to a CD/DVD OR USB

If your system is still slow, I would suggest Partha's idea and perform a clean install!

Hope this helps

As DC suggests run the DISM command and then try SFC again.

Ok, please follow the steps I have provided to restore your aoemi Onekey recovery backup, it is clear that you have corrupt files, but if you can't repair them, the only option to restore your backup image, then check if the system is fast, and check if you have any corrupt files, if not, do a clean install.

Don't forget to create system image using Macrium reflect. Check my last post for more details on how to restore your image and create a system image using Macrium reflect before you restore the image.

What did it say?

You could try;

Quote:Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

Then try;

Quote:Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

It should state that fixes were made or no fix necessary.

Then try;

Quote:sfc /scannow

You may have to attempt the SFC scan 3 times.
