Windows 10 anniversary pin login not working
#31
I am not sure if this is a Windows 10 bug, and I say that because this issue isn't there on all the personal computers with Windows 10

Let me ask you this. When the wheel stopped spinning, did the options "Change" and "Remove" appear as marked below?

Probably, some corruptions could be the cause. Did the sfc say there were corruptions?

I would advise you to refresh your Windows. It would reinstall the most recent version of the OS and that should probably resolve the issue

Please refer the article at https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-refresh-tool-do-clean-install-windows-10

I've managed to fix it now without doing a refresh of windows. I restored from my backup the NGC folder at
C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC.

That then gave me the option in sign in options to repair the pin login option and remove the old pin code. It wouldn't let me add a new pin

so I ran Tweaking.com - Windows Repair again then restarted windows and went to sign in options I could add the pin code to login restarted again and I can now login with my pin code every time

?
