I have a Windows 10 computer backed up to Carbonite. I'm pretty careful about places I go on the web and links that I open, but in the event that my computer falls victim to ransomware , will the back up e affected?

Hi stein525,
Carbonite is an online backup, so if you go online and download them manually off the website then your backup shouldn't be affected, however, if the carbonite is installed on your computer and you can access them on the computer and you do get infected with ransomware and it encrypts your backups, you will lose your backups unless you can decrypt them becuase whatever happens to your carbonite files on the computer, happens online too.
