how to zip up a file and post it on the forum

install 7zip 7zip

  1. right click on log file
  2. select 7zip
  3. select add to archive
  4. select achieve format
  5. select zip
  6. select compression level
  7. select ultra
  8. select chose file
  9. select on zip file
  10. select add attachment

Compton thank you for this. I just tried it and found there was no 7zip on the context menu. 7zip was listed in the Apps and Features. I had to do a search and found you can include 7zip in the context menu when it is missing just by turning it on. However, I had a further problem because I had the 32bit 7zip and I have Windows 64bit so I had to uninstall the 32bit 7zip and install the 64bit one from: https://www.7-zip.org/

I found the instruction on how to include 7zip on the context menu here: https://www.intowindows.com/fix-7-zip-option-missing-from-context-menu/

Brian, I hope it is ok to include the link to the instructions. I did not like copying/using the instruction as though I had figured it out all by myself to take the credit? Thanks.
