Windows 8.1 Upgrade
#1
Recently Microsoft has changed from giving a choice of upgrading from windows 8 to 8.1 to forcing this update with a maximum 4 hour delay.
Any thoughts on this?
How to prevent this besides turning off updates?

Thanks Cool

Why don't you want to upgrade?

From my experience and my clients, the upgrade to windows 8.1 has caused major havoc.

Networks loosing sharing.
Drivers needed to be re-installed. (mostly printer drivers)
Programs disappear and need to be re-installed
People loosing files because they are moved.

I did a clean install and upgraded .. when I tried it with all my data programs etc, it was very slow after the upgrade so that's why i did clean install then upgrade, but always make regular back up of you system to an external source, ie portable hard drive
