How to I allow a program previously that I stopped using UAC ?
#1
I was watching my dad using his computer and when he clicked on firefox and the UAC permission box came up. I thought that this was unusual because a UAC warning doesnt usually come up. So when I stopped it and pressed firefox icon again it loaded up like normal. I did notice there was a new version 50 to be updated. So I pressed the update button and it downloaded but failed.

I'm wondering if this failed because I had just blocked it via UAC ?

So how do I unblock a program with UAC? or shall I just reboot the computer to see if it asks me again?

Thanks for the reply mate.

I shut down the laptop and started up firefox again and no UAC pop-up happened. Then I went to update FF and it did.

I'm not sure why the pop-up happened. I did notice when I was looking over google searches that other people on different versions of FF had random UAC pop-up's.

I'll keep in mind your reply post though as its good info you posted.

Thanks for replying Smile
