So true.

I think all brand replacements are refurbished which I find that to be a dodgy practice. I basically feel like I am getting a used hard drive to replace my new hard drive that is still under warranty.

I know the WD Blue series has had known issues especially in the enterprise market.

I don't trust any hard drive over 2TB... They say that the firmware used for anything over 2TB is generic.

I have always gotten my information about hard drives here:

Hard Drive Stats for Q3 2016: Less is More
November 15th, 2016

Hardware don't seem to last like it used to, as technology has moved on we seem to be getting more higher failure rate. I would not trust any hard drive company nowadays, backup, backup, backup. Barracuda back in the day was very sturdy. I have had bad luck with all brands tbh. I remember the Deskstar they was nickname Deathstar.
