How to add my tools to a usb
#1
Please forgive me as I am still learning.  In short, I am trying to add tools I have to a usb bootable drive and not sure which way to do it.  I have watched this video below, but not sure if a winPE will allow me to add many tools to as I like, and honestly not sure how to add them anyway.  I cant seem to find that video.

On the other hand I seen another nice video that Britec made, but not sure if It would be too difficult for me to make, bc he said some thongs need to be done and some dont.  I just want to be able to add tools simple, bc I am not as good as some of you all..  I am confused at what is necessary and whats not.  The video confused me a little.  Any help would be great.

Not quite sure. I want to take tools I have for troubleshooting and put them on a bootable usb. Like my hirens, activeboot disk, etc..so they are on 1 usb for convenience. I think I will have to make sure they are all iso correct? I am not sure how to add executable s on. Just trying to figure out the best / easiest way for me

Thanks for the reply

Actually if I make the executables into a iso can I add them and will they work?

yes they would be on one usb for convenience,I mean as a technician it is great

yes they would all have to be iso

what you can do is to create a Winpe and add programs you would like then create a iso

you can also add programs to a iso like hirens,

The best luck I have had is using WinSetupFromeUSB for my emergency boot disks, I have used many and tried this one after I saw the video review that Brian did.

I have heard other techs saying that they don't like creating multi-boot USB's because if the USB fails, they are out of luck. Huh

I still use discs for my stuff, I'm just a bit old school like that I suppose  Tongue I'm probably just paranoid about writing malware to a USB, still, it all works the same  Wink

I build and slipstream all my own Windows images and keep them updated so there is no chance of malware, also is so much quicker doing this way. Installing Windows from an original cd will take a lot longer because you have to update all the Windows updates etc. When you do a big volume of computer repairs you have got to work smarter to get more done. More done = more money. I know Carey Holzman still installs from CD and then uses Windows Update. That just takes far to long if you have lots of computers to do.

I was referring more to repair tools mainly Linux based as opposed to windows ISOs, but yea the slipstream would save soooo much time.
