ok you are wanting to replace motherboard let me explaining the way works

you just can't replace the motherboard then use the same cpu on any motherboard

the way it works the cpu have to be compatible with the motherboard socket

you say you want to upgrade the system into gaming but let's not beat around bush

the system was built back in 2007 which is DDR2 personally if you want a gaming

you are better off building a new system,if you updated the system I think  it would be great

just for watching youtube videos and doing normal stuff

I am with Compton about buying a new case Thermaltake Versa H15 M-ATX Gaming Case with Side Window USB 3 and Black Interior
Its possible to use the HP case but you could run into problems and for the money its not worth saving.

Tell me your budget and I will spec as computer out for you.

That's a nice case for the money... I was just gonna say if he didn't want to spend a penny...He could install Linux Mint and run Steam Games on it.
