I added posready to my xp home edition but before i could add installed=1 i got locked out and no modifying is possible is there away to fix this?

what do you mean lock out did you forget your login password

The registry key that is added in order to receive xp embedded updates (posready) i was only able to add posready and i didnt get a chance to to add installed=1 and i cant do anything with the key now because the posready is locked

ok what you are wanting to do edit the registry but you can't boot into windows XP (posready because its lock

you can use HBCD

Im able to boot im just not able to modify the posready key it keeps tellling me im not able to modify it

ok well boot up HBCD registry editor you should be able to edit it
