So i have a dell dimension 8400 case thats in bad shape well i just recently received a dell dimension 8250 case and since i couldnt do anything with the 8250 so i stripped the parts i could use and and took the parts out of the 8250 and put the parts from the dell 8400 case inside the 8250 case since it was in wayyy better condition.

Well after i placed the 8400 mobo in the 8250 case after flushly seating the mobo i closed the case and the ide cable wasnt plugged in and broke a piece of the ide female part for the male ide cable and bent the pins so after i got mad and thought all was lost i decided im gonna bend the pins back into place and all be dang i bent em back perfectly so everthings good on that part Smile

Then i ran into issues with the cpu fan so i had to use the cpu fan that was used in the 8400 for the 8250 case which kinda fit but i reinforced by using zip ties.

I just wanted to share this experience with you guys and give myself a pat on the back for what i over came

Thanks timster. Yeah after the ide part on the mother broke i was like #%$@@$ and then as i thought about it the black part that surrounds the pins is just there to keep the ide cable in place and there was just a little of the black part that broke i was thinking to myself i should be fine as long as i can get those pins reseated since they just bent well sure enough im still able to use it.
