How To Backup Favorites/Bookmarks In The Microsoft Edge Browser
#1

So with the new Microsoft Web Browser "Edge", if you reinstall Windows, all is lost with Microsoft Edge that has to do with your Favorites/ Bookmarks because Edge is built into Windows.
So are all your Favorites/Bookmarks lost or not? Well, the answer is the same every time you talk about anything that has to do with a computer and that is not if you back it up. In this tutorial, I will show you how to make a backup of all your Favorites/Bookmarks so when you do a fresh install of windows you will be able to retrieve each and every Favorite/Bookmark that you have saved in the Edge Browser.

Now with other Browsers, this is not the case because the browser is separate from the operating system and when you reinstall the browser it remembers all your Favorites/Bookmarks

Start by opening up File Explorer and in the address bar type this command %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default and push enter.

Copy the Datastore folder and paste it, in the place you keep all your backups like a USB drive.

That's it the next time you do a fresh install of windows all your Favorites/Bookmarks from the Edge Browser will be backed up.

Nice work, buddy but a tutorial on this topic already exists. Look, I know you didn't duplicate the thread purposely but we need to comply with the rules

Double clutch just a heads up when using images from the web its best to insert image url

Remember when you  upload an image to  server you are claiming it's your own image

and could cause a copyright  problem

Partha, there is nothing wrong with a person doing more than one tutorial on a topic

because what can happen, one person tutorial can be a bit more clear than my tutorial

the more tutorial on one topic the better let's not make it a habit to point out a tutorial already exists

keep the tutorials coming Smile

@Compton
One could also argue that the more threads there are on one topic, the better it is, as one thread could contain clearer information than the other

We need to draw a line somewhere after all and that is the reason there is a rule for duplicate threads that exists

I think exceptions can be made when it comes tutorial and duplicate threads

it's not exactly duplicate he did put it in his own words

Think of it this way you have Britec video people may cover a topic Britec did in a video already

youtube have many videos like this but at the end of the day the person would go to which video they think is more clear on the topic

let's not have a discussion here on the topic both you guys tutorial are great
