Let's talk Photography!
#1
Just felt like creating a thread for photography enthusiasts. So if you own a camera, be it a dslr, mirrorless or a point and shoot, and want to discuss anything in particular, we can build a conversation

By the way, I've learnt photography and so if anyone needs any help, let me know

Cool Partha I've recently purchased a Lumix DMC-G85 and I am just getting my feet wet on the photography side of things. I mainly purchased it for video but the camera has an amazing amount of settings. I am only using the kit lens at the moment but for a kit lens it is pretty good from what I have read. I will bring questions your way soon. Just haven't had a lot of time to indulge it it to be honest.

It would be a pleasure to  discuss photography and, a nice choice by the way; I use the Olympus OM-D E-M5

Two Lumix users  already! That's a neat camera there, Brian. I own an Olympus OM-D E-M5; its specs are  quite similar to yours

Wanted to share this video  about the 50 mm lens  and why it can be a lot of bang for your buck

It is. For our cameras though with the micro four thirds sensor, the 50 mm equivalent would be the 25 mm lens

Not a bad lens for the money. Not quite to the point where I'll be purchasing lenses. Still getting used to what I have

Cool! I have one question to ask right away. My best friend is getting marriage and she would like me to film the wedding as documentary. I of course badly want to do it but first I need a camera (not only for her wedding but also for my Youtube videos). Which camera should I use to shoot a short, amateur film? Planning to buy Canon 7D but would like to hear from you guys. Thanks! Smile

7D  is pretty decent I'd say! I am a big fan of Canon's dslr lineup and the 7D would be a very nice choice indeed, especially if you're interested in  taking pictures

Just to let you know, there are cheaper cameras  that may not be as nicely built but are just as good when it comes  to the picture and video quality
