Changing default locations
#1
I am wondering how to correctly move "desktop" , "pictures", "documents", "downloads", "music", and "videos" to another location than my SSD, in Windows 10 (Creators 1703 build). I have 7 hard drives in my rig, 4 ssds, and 3 regualar large HDD's. What I want to do is move those files to a larger drive but still boot off the C: (ssd) drive. I have already tried two ways of doing this. The first way is in settings, clicking on "storage" and then "change where new content is saved". This, alone, seems to work, but does not actually move the desktop to another drive. The next way I tried is opening up 2 file explorers and click on the "desktop", properties, and "location" changing the location to G:\desktop and saving it. This method has a downfall. I had two desktops in the list, now, one on C: and another on G:.... please help.

Also, I would make sure the location is set to the desktop for best performance and to reduce fewer problems. The rest of them can be changed
