my pc has got the BSOD
#1
firstly, iam a bit angry...placing blame on rollback rx. know i saved last known configuration of registry in case something like this occurred. but it failed to use saved snapshot. i tried up to 4 times, but to no avail. so i uninstalled it. (iam on my gaming console) as a temporary fix. the bsod appeared right after norton was doing normal scan of pc.. but then it frozeup. accidently hit the power button! right after that the trouble started. since last night, all i get is "pc ran into error, will restart...etc etc" so now, i even tried to boot into bios, i chose all known configurations of safe mode, i still received that error page. so now iam at a standstill, unsure what to do next. even a win10 forum iam on could not give me any solid leads on how to tackle this dilemma and my isp's chat help was of no help.

So does the system boot? Have you tried booting to safe-mode?

have you try restoring a snapshot from rollback rx recovery Console

Step 3: Rollback System (Sub-Console) that should work https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/23012-recover-your-system-in-seconds-with-rollback-rx

I can understand the way you may feel but the cause of the bsod may not be rollback rx; let's start with the steps as explained in the video that Compton linked

i wish to direct my anger at norton. repair person said same thing. however, ive come down to these options for deciding fate of pc.

1. buy a new HDD
2. buy a windows install disk (the pc didnt come with one)
3. repair shop

i asked around to local repair shops, their fees range from 99 dollars an hour to over 125 an hour. and right now i dont have funds to cover a repair. its looking like i really messed up. FWIW, this pc has seen its share of glitches. its not a reliable brand, asus x540. ive had 3 resets this year. but anyways, i cant see the videos posted from my ps3 somehow, give me links to them. oh, and as a last resort, i managed to remove the battery. asus really makes it difficult to remove the battery. i see no other way of getting around the blue screened message pc will restart jabber. why cant i go into safe mode? and how can my hardware be broken? this pc is only a year old.

edit -ok, i was able to download onto flash, that memtest scan program from my ps3. i can try and see if pc will use it to scan pc through the bios section. im willing to do anything at this point as many attempts are exhausted. and if possible, download win10 iso onto external or flash at a later point? but for now, i must rest and try boot from this memtest tomorrow

I can understand your anxiety but you have to calm down to be able to deal with the issue; I know this can be fixed and so it's better  if you  relax

you  won't even have to spend a dime to fix this; just do as we say. Did you follow the steps as explained in the video?
