Whats everyones opinion about universal laptop adapters?
#1
I have 2 older but seems like they were pretty good computers back in there prime but both are capable of running windows 7 so im gonna keep em but they didnt have their power supplies so i was thinking about investing in at least 1 universal adapter for laptops but i want to know what im getting into first hand.

Laptop models i received
Getac P470
HP Compaq 6910p

Look, the basic idea is that the voltage the adapter outputs, needs to be  the same as the voltage your laptop is designed to work at; a small variation of say 0.5 volts should be okay in most of the cases

you should see the power specifications on the laptops

I would yes get a universal power adapter its always good to have them

I use universal adapters in my shop. I find that I need to purchase new ones every few years because the charging port designs change over time.

I've never used a universal adapter. But if you can switch from one pc to another it will be less expensive than buying two power adapters. I would prefer having a power supply for each laptop, but that's just me
