What voltage would a HP Compaq 6910p need from an adapter?

I have an HP Compaq 6910p which i am getting a universal adapter for tomorrow. The question i have is voltage setting on a laptop adapter an HP Compaq 6910p need?

I havent been able to power it on since ive gotten or i would of posted specs but The model # is HP Compaq 6910p.

It looks like  it's 18.5 volts for your laptop; like it was discussed before, the power specifications should probably  be specified on the back panel of the laptop

Oh sorry i forgot to mention that i looked and it doesnt mention the voltage on the laptop.

I just got the laptop early this month so just throwing this out there that is not my post nor did i see the link you shared till now

a good trick to do is google the power adopter and look at the  voltage on the adopter

Hey Smirk,

Did you test the old power supply to verify that it's actually the power supply and not an issue with the power jack?
