using the DVD or stick with a basic bios
#1
Thank you for the video to help me with my looping repair. You have an excellent bios called pheonix. I have a very very basic bios called american megatrends on my tablet. The tablet has a C drive where the broken windows is, and a D drive which is a memory card port. None of these are in the boot choice in the bios. I have efti os which is the bios, and "windows boot manager". Those are the 2choices and there is no security tab, there is no way to add new boot devices I can see. The only thing I can do is turn quiet boot off and change a few timers to give more time to hit the bios key. Do I need to find this " windows boot manager" to reveal a drive sequence? Please help for ud tablet users with basic bios.
Thank you, I appreciate your calm and clear guides when I'm in a panic because my windows 8.1 is broken.

Are you using a Windows tablet? if so power down the tablet:

Now follow these steps:
  1. Power on the tablet
  2. Hold the volume down button while powering on
  3. Next click Troubleshoot
  4. Next Advanced option
  5. Now click UEFI Firmware Settings and the Restart
  6. You should now be in your BIOS where you can change your settings
