If using the commands in Command Prompt to fix the MBR:
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd

Will these commands work for people who have GPT partitioning?

This should help. You might get bootrec /fixboot access denied

Yes. You are right. It does work. I didn't realize you "embedded" a link in it since it was so long....

Brian in the directions listed on the link you gave, in the Windows 10 section... Why is there a D in this instruction? It says cd /d <drive letter>
cd /d <drive letter> :EFI\Microsoft\Boot

What is being explained here is not understood. Thanks. Are they using D: as an example?? for the drive in question?

When you boot to the recovery environment, c: becomes d:
