Ive been reading a book called Windows 7 Annoyances: Tips, Secrets, and Solutions (link to book below) and theres a section where it says fade or slide and in this section of the registry [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]"UserPreferencesMask" it says ill see a series of 8 two digit numbers and that I need to modify the second number so will I need to modify 1e?

"UserPreferencesMask"=hex:9e,1e,07,80,12,00,00,00

This TweakUI will help, it will give you all the codes you need to edit them

You need to edit this registry key depending on what features you want:

\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\UserPreferencesMask
