Error status 0xc0000020 Bad Image When Trying to Install Programs

Hello, a couple of days ago, i was scanning my system with malware bytes and after about 6 mins it froze up on me and i got a blue screen,  i restarted the computer and rescanned the pc again, and it did it again.  now im having trouble with opening up any anti-malware or any other programs that have any programs that have anti-virus program in it (UVK).  I believe this might be an infection.   when i use task manager, my cpu is up to 95 percent, and i  have a lot of run. dlls running.   should i back up everything and reinstall windows?  please help

Try booting into safe mode and see if you can run any scans. It's never a bad idea to back up your data.

Please download and run one of the following tools, this will help allow our programs to run. (thanks to BleepingComputer.com)



There are 6 different versions of Rkill. Please try one at a time until one runs. 

Running Windows vista, 7 or 8 "right click and choose Run as Administrator" 

Say yes to prompt box.

  1. rkill.exe
  2. rkill.com
  3. rkill.scr
  4. rkill.pif
  5. WiNlOgOn.exe
  6. uSeRiNiT.exe

    download and install Zemana AntiMalware
    • check for updates select on scan [Image: 2fSZJuQ]  after the scan is completed
    • remove any malware that is found
    • select on  reports [Image: 2gOiKD6]
    • select open report select file save as
    • save the report
    • post the report on your next reply on the   forum

hello thankyou for replying.   I couldnt download malwarebytes in safe mode, same error happened.  I was able to download the first link of rkill and run a scan, but then i downloaded zemana anti-malware and when i tried to run it, i got the error message with that software. i took a snip of that error.

ok run  sfc /scannow in command prompt like Britec said



Perform SFC scan



Click 'Start' > Type cmd in the search field > Right-click the command prompt at the top of the list and select 'Run as Administrator'
Inside the command prompt, type sfc /scannow > Press 'Enter'

hello britec, thankyou for your reply, i ran sfc /scannow from command prompt and did a full scan and said that it found corrupt files, but couldnt fix them, picture below

I ran that code in command prompt, it was around 50% done, i walked away for about 8 mins, when i came back, the computer had a blue screen, and the stop code was "KERNAL DATA INPAGE ERROR"
