Windows account password not recognised in Safe Mode login

Hello,

I had watched Brian's video about logging into Windows 10 Safe Mode and gave it a try.

I found that I could not get passed the Windows account login screen because my password is not recognised in Safe Mode.

I am the sole user, and so Admin on the PC.

I have verified that my Windows Account password is definitely correct (by making a move to change it and then backing out).

I normally use a PIN to login to standard Windows 10.

Does anyone have information helpful for this situation?

(I have searched the net for assistance but most Safe Mode password issues seem to be concerned with being stuck in Safe Mode, whereas I am trying to get into Safe Mode).

if it's a Microsoft account in safe mode you have no internet access to login

so is it a local account or Microsoft account?
