After Spring Update I notice...

After the spring update, I noticed that all my internet tweaks and the majority of my services disablements were back to default... Had to go back in and do it over. Just thought I would let some people, here, know.

NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate can no longer be 1 because if its changed it reverts back to the factory defult

I am updating mine now, I bet it will reset a lot of settings.

BranchCache, Data sharing service, dmwappushsvc (the data collector) , distributed link tracking client, all turn back to "automatic" , plus some other services I don't use. I had actually deleted distributed link tracking client! In my internet tweaks section, I had most of my tweaks disappear, Under "limit reservable bandwidth" ...had that setting get changed back to default. I had it set at "enabled" and 0. My registry tweaks... under: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\Tasks\Games] Affinity was changed back to default == i had it set at dword:00000000 Scheduling catagory was changed to "medium" (I had it set at "high") SFIO Priority got changed to "medium" (I had it set at "high" Those are the changes that I was able to find that were changed so far. I may find more... I have to tweak my system because of the crappy ISP I have. Games are possible, now.

It seems that Windows 10 resets all your settings every time there is a major update.

There's a reason they reset things...telemetary!
Win 10 is designed to be autonomous, they need that data to fix issues automatically. It'll bring about the end of the tech repair service in about 8 years. This is how long I think they'll take to get a fully stable system. |
