Here's one for the members.

For some odd reason, and I have NO idea why, but my desktop computer is causing my display to - well, it seems to turn off briefly, about every 15 minutes. It doesn't matter if I am doing something on the computer, or if the computer is just idling. It only happens for a couple of seconds, then the monitor comes back on.

Anyone have an idea as to why this may be happening?

Before anyone asks:-

See if this happens in the Safe Mode, and let us know. Click the link below to know how to boot into the safe mode

Thank you.

It apparently does NOT do this while in safe mode. So, what does this tell you?

You are welcome. It could mean that there is a third party application or a driver  causing this, as the safe mode doesn't load any third-party software or drivers

Do you remember making any changes recently to your system? It could be a software that you installed

I've updated some software / applications. Can't say as I have installed anything new. Odd that this is happening, though. I have never experienced it before, ever.

I would like you to upload a report of the installed programs as explained at https://tinyurl.com/yanzzs59

I would also request you to run a scan with Zemana AntiMalware Free and share the results

Try googling the model number of the monitor you are using and see what had been said about it in forums good or bad but defiantly pay attention to if the same issue you have hasnt already been discussed and fixed

scan for viruses and
See if it happens in safemode.

Safe mode is a very handy option when it comes to problems with computers because safemode really helps if its a software or hardware related issue
