Hello, I'm in the middle of following your tutorial on creating a wordpress website using xaamp.
When you get to going back to the browser and put in: localhost/wordpress
I get this The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
Error 404
localhost
Apache/2.4.10 (Win32) OpenSSL/1.0.1i PHP/5.6.3
I went and checked my file that was edited in notepad to make sure that I put in the right things and that it was saved correctly. it is saved as a php file but I can not get on localhost/wordpress for nothing.
Can someone help me please

Do I need to uninstall everything or would that even make a difference.

If your not getting admin login page, you have done something wrong, just delete it at start again.

I assume you put the wordpress folder in htdocs? I know it might sound strange but it took me a long time (a few hours) to figure it out.
