New computer build keeps freezing?
#11
Before I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled windows 10 again I did try to fix the current Windows 10 pro by reinstalling through the windows media creation tool as seen in this video by britec

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldqFdcGL1X0

But the instal froze on 86%

I did do hardware checks,
Ram check - OK
CPU - OK

I'm pretty confident it isn't a hardware issue. I'm wondering if its maybe a bad Samsung Evo SSD I purchased? has anyone any experiences? This would be a first for me if it was the SSD.
There's nothing wrong with the parts I selected which could be causing the problem? that anyone can tell me?

One thing i did see was I installed 4GB of ram but only 3.7 is usable. But that shouldnt be making it Freeze after a while? Especially if the ram check came back with no problems?

Did you turn off sleep hibernation because you said when you leave  the computer for 10 minutes it will freeze up

Sometimes sleep and hibernate can cause issues

Did you update the video driver?

What  can do is into safe mode then leave the computer on for 10 minutes
Then check to see if the system will freeze up .

The only way you know if the SSD is bad you will have to install it on another system then check to see if it will cause any system freeze up.

It's pretty normal to show 3.7 GB of memory because it's shareing memory with the on board video card

Lets see how another fresh install does. 3.7gigs usable of ram is normal. Keep us updated.
