Booting Problem
#1
I'm having an issue when it comes to booting my computer.

I turn the computer on and I get the "dell" logo. It stays on that screen for at least a minute before moving on to the next stage of the startup process.

Next, it goes to a black screen and it stays on a black screen for at least 2 minutes before it starts booting into windows.

It's smooth sailing once it starts booting into windows.

I don't know what I did wrong, as it's only been doing this for a few days.

I appreciate any help.

I would recommend that you back up any important data on the hard drive

Because it sounds like the hard drive. Failing.

How old is the hard drive & the computer?

Check your BIOS setup to see all drives are being seen.

Is it a Desktop or Laptop?

It could simply be a windows update that's still trying to configure sometimes they can take a few reboots to calm down.
