YAHOO SUCKS CONTEXT MENU?
#1
Win7
Rolleyes Hi guys first timer here today. My question is "Yahoo" appears on one of context menu's... not sure which one now but it's definitely visible now & again. I've got Easy Context Menu app but I'm having no luck has anyone got suggestions on how I get rid of this nuisance? I'm using a win 7 & a win 8 machine so I would like a solution to both.

regards,

Diddy

Hey Diddy welcome to the forum

1. Click Start Button
2. Next Click Run
3. Type regedit and click ENTER
4. Navigate to the following location: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers (You will find all the programs that are attached to the right click menu.)
5. Now just edit to delete programs, you might find it easier to export, then delete the keys for programs you do not want.

Hi Diddy, your pic isn't showing.

Also does yahoo show in every context menu?
for example; Right click on a file and it shows.
Right click on the desktop and it doesn't.

So it's browser related or not? i.e, it only appears when right clicking inside the browser/web sites etc.

I can confirm that when I copy links from a web page / forum a small context menu appears and on it is the "Yahoo"
along email to- and some other options.

yes and sorry for the delay getting back to you! just 2 things to point out first, I'm not on a "Yahoo" page at the time and when this dialog box appears it doesn't have the top row of symbols but the rest is the same. I cant get a screenshot of this dialog box it just disappears when I try to capture it.
