how to tell if you have a genuine copy of windows

I was wondering how to figure if a windows os disc is genuine or not because i recently made an iso copy of a windows 7 disc which was scanned by avg,spybot s&d and malwarebytes  antimalware and all scans came back negative for problems but i remember reading on this forum about how the url is wrong which basically means its a p.o.s. disc. So how can you tell if its a genuine disc?

I just think this is one of many pieces of questions that would  be very handy to have an answer to is all

you could Validate your copy of windows to see if its genuine

That makes since for the product key part but how can we tell if the disc its self hasn't been tampered with but made to be as if it was a right out of the Microsoft factory disc you know what I mean?

ya I guess you can get a original image of windows 7 disc and compare to your disc for any special marks or code
if you go on amazon you should get original image of the disc
