Edit Reason: forgot a line
)
I watched a video on youtube that britec posted awhile back.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Screen Replacement Repair Using LOCA Glue
and in the video comments by the uploader it says.
"My way is a risk because glue can leak into the back of LCD and Camera and Sensor area if you don't take the correct precautions, it can even seep into volume and home button area if you use to much glue. This can cause corrosion and end up in hardware failure, the phone may function OK for a week or two, but with the glue still wet under LCD and Backlight it can then end in tears."
how exactly does it cause corrosion. I was not aware that LOCA would eat up the plastics or conduct across the board?
I understand how it can get in earpeice and mic holes and cause issues there.
I understand how if it gets into the lcd backlight it can cause issues.
nothing a quick component swap wouldn't fix
But actual electrical issues that would destroy the phone... I cant say follow that one.
Or issues where the phones frame and housing can be affected to the point that a good cleanup wont fix it.
just a curious mind looking to broaden my knowledge on LOCA. any information anyone can put in on this I would appreciate =)
