AMD Driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
#1
I play CS:GO and when I play I get a blackscreen it freezes than says "AMD Driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered" and I just ignore them and they're constant and in the end I get a BSOD. I talked to AMD they checked out my SOFTWARE and said it was up to date, but I'm under warranty so I called iBuyPower and they said they can send me a new graphics card. Any idea why this happens? Haven't received the new graphics card yet.=

you are not overclocking your video or cpu?

#5
No, nothing has been modified. One thing I just got it back from iBuyPower and they changed the motherboard but it happend before the motherboard change.

I had an issue where my USB ports wouldn't work and I sent it to them and now they're sending me another graphics card since I'm under warranty.

ok lets start with a memory test https://briteccomputers.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=823

how many memory do you have install ?

#7
Honestly, I'd rather wait until they send the graphics card before I do anything else. I'll write back even if it works when I put the new card in.

Chris, are you gaming with more than one monitor? Is your computer crashing any other time or with any other game? Are you willing to try a stress test to help confirm your video card is ok? Let us know when you are ready Wink

I have 1 monitor atm but planning to get another.
Computer is not crashing with any other game.
Would stress testing screw up the PC or void the warrnaty?

Stress testing will in no way void your warranty. Basically we want to put a load on the card to see if it crashes. A good video card will be able to handle a stress test with no problem.

1. Download FurMark at the link HERE

2. Install FurMark and run the application.

3. You will be presented with a FurMark settings pane like the one below. Select your monitor resolution and choose "Burn in Test"
NOTE: By default FurMark warns about stressing your video card. All modern video cards have built in safety features to prevent damage. You will not void warranty unless you are overclocking your card.

4. Allow FurMark to run and pay close atention to the temp of your card as it runs. If your card temps come close to 85c terminate FurMark. You should be able to run FurMark for a good 10 min to get an idea about the stability of your video card. If your video card runs a good 10 min and does not crash chances are likely that your video card is ok. At the same time this tool pushes your video card at 100%. Again... if your video card temps approach 85c terminate the program. The pic below shows you where to monitor your video card temps while FurMark runs. Post back with your results Smile
