If you have other family members using your computer, you might want to hide and prevent access to that hard drive with all your personal data on the that hard drive. I will show you how to restrict access to specific drives in My Computer on Windows 10, but this can also be done on other versions of windows based computers. This will prevent others from accessing important data, or deleting files from the hard drive you restrict.
1. Open group policy editor by typing gpedit in search. Now navigate to User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/File Explorer. Now double click on the ‘Prevent Access to drives from My Computer’
