Sorry not been following this topic from start, so forgive me if you have answered these questions.
1. You now have a Windows 8.1 recovery disc sent from Zoostorm correct? if so, this is a good start.
2. You tried to install with the recovery disc and received BSOD KERNEL_Security_failure correct?
3. Make sure the drive you are install Windows to is completely wipe clean with no partitions left on that drive. Then try and install Windows 8.1 again using recovery disc.
4. If the install fails again and it gives you blue screen of death again after a clean install of Windows 8.1, it means the Blue Screen Error is hardware related.
5. If you manage to get Windows 8.1 install, you might want to check if its possible to upgrade to Windows 10 now that you have changed your hardware ie: CPU check there terms and conditions to receive free upgrade to windows 10.

You have files on that drive and when you try and install windows 8.1 its falling over and kicking up a error.
If you have Windows 8.1 fully installed you can fix error
File:\windows \system32\config\system
Error code : 0xc000000f
But not sure if you have full operating system install on the hard drive?

I think the best option is to complete format the hard drive
most likely don't have a fully install operating system
because when loading the recovery drive windows 8.1 stop installing at 46% then bosd
do you have any windows 7 8.1 on a installation on disk or usb flash drive because you can use diskpart to format hard drive

I agree with Compton, lets wipe that drive and try and Install Windows 8.1
Also that factory recovery disc Zoostorm sent you could also be corrupt in some way, but lets try it again with a clean drive.
One way you can do it is.
1.
Download Minitool and format drive.
2. How to
format drive with Minitool.
3. Install Windows 8.1 with Recovery Disc.
4. If you get BSOD its a strong possibility you have bad hardware.

ok lets make a checklist
what is the problem getting a bosd when trying to load windows 8.1 recovery disk or USB after upgrading to windows 10
what we did so far to troubleshoot the problem
1 test the hard drive scan and complete surface test and also check for bad sectors both are ok
2 try loading windows 8.1 from a recovery disk or USB getting a bosd at 46%

Im to you both but , having several sleepless night worried about the cause of this error , and all efforts of mine seem to come up against same result . I decided to take my PC to the local computer repair shop which luckily is just down the road from me, upon describing my problem to him he immediately stated that it was a software not a hardware issue and was a "simple fix " I'm hoping that this is the case . He also stated that he'd had 10 cases of people with problems with windows ten in two days . But did mention that one case where a persons motherboard failed due to rolling back the PC , I'm hoping that I'm not going to be one of those cases . It's going to cost £30.00 to put my system right .... I'm hoping that's all it's going to cost .
I would like to thank you both for your assistance in this matter , but I had to throw in the towel I'm afraid

Its hard to repair some computer problems by forum. We rely on many things to make the repair successful, with a computer repair shop they have hands on the computer and can see errors and whats happening with the computer, which makes it easy to fix. We can only go by you're eyes and they way you relay that to us in writing. sometimes people are not always technical minded and have trouble putting it in writing on a forum.
So to be successful we need:
- Give as much information about the computer problem as possible ( with screen shots and logs ).
- What you have tried to do to fix it.
- Follow our instructions to the letter and complete what we say and relay the information back to us with screen shots if possible.
- Sometimes there is nothing we can do by forum support.
Good luck we you're computer problem and I hope you get it fixed.
