Have just heard again from Microsoft ...
Hello Chris ,
We have already concluded that it’s a issues with the hard drive but still if this could get it fixed you don’t have to replace .
This Scan may take upto 24 hours so what I would suggest please leave the machine as it is and will follow up with you in next 2 hours if its not to late for you to contact

ok the computer are back with you?
but I would still run Check Disk on the hard disk for errors
I would just buy a new hard and get on with
you can use that hard drive as a external hard drive

Well windows 10 at the moment is still running check disk , and although the it's still at 10% I've been advised to let it run over night , so considering that they are talking about compensation etc , I'm inclined to do what they suggest ,as stopping the process now could damage the hard drive , problem is they've given out thunderstorms tonight , so I doubt I'll sleep tonight

All disk activity had stopped and it came up with same options that come up when you boot up from recovery media so I have shut down the computer as the repair seemed to have stopped I still have Reston to believe that the hard disk has failed

I Compton , I feel confident in opening up my PC and replacing the drive , I have built systems since the AMD K6 2 450 MHz They guy from Microsoft says he'll answer email from home but he's on separate time zone from me (PDT) so there is a slight delay in his reply

It's very strange windows own scandisk utility in windows comes back clean however this morning I turned computer on and got blue screen of death straight away , while I have been able to boot windows I ran EaseUs utility britec mentioned in the YouTube video about sinning hard drives and straight away it states that there is an error on the drive

Hi Compton , once agin thanks for your continued support regarding this matter , EaseUs got to 55% done, then displayed the blue screen , so there is definitely something wrong with the hard drive , just hope that I'm lucky enough for Microsoft to come through and give a voucher for the total of the drive because that what's been muted at , at the minute
