Hi
I have tried that, and still got the error, I then tried unistalling/installing the Xbox program which was in the error report, althought thats seen to have resovled the Run Time error, the Wireless controller just dosent work, well partly. The wired controller continues to work fine if I plug it in... Could it be the controller?
do a clean boot then check to see if its working https://briteccomputers.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=4906&pid=32739#pid32739
we can try a few things before saying its the controller did sfc /scannow find any corruption?

Hi
Well its got into a bit more of a headache, I think problem has come from faultly SSD, when I to msconfig to boot in Selective mode, oddly it was always set. So I booting back in normal mode, but just kept getting a blue screen, and was unable to revert, I tried to repair start with recovery disc, without luck I then took the SSD and loaded externally on to my other PC, just to see, but it was unable to read it, so decided to format it and start from a fresh drive and reinstall from the backup, but it wouldnt do that either. So my conclusion was it must be faulty.... wrongly or rightly So I have ordered a new SSD, which comes Friday I will update you, once I get the new SSD installed Thank you for all your time and help

Just to add my input, I have to do this every time there is a major 'feature' update to windows 10 I have to go the unknown device and install drivers from a known place on my computer see attached pic. Its the sort of thing yuo might not have tried as maybe, like me, you wouldnt believe win 10 could sort it itself
I never ever thought this would work but it does make some sense that the drivers for this xbox product already exist in windows 10 |
