BSOD Kernel Data Inpage Error 0x0000007a
#11
yes you would restart your system with only one ram instilled

2 pass on a ram should be ok

how long would it take would depend on the speed of the CPU

should not take too long

Have you tried using different sata ports on the motherboard?

So 3.5 hrs later Memtest showed no errors.

I started the Pc this morning, downloaded a few games, played a few and then went on to look at youtube trying to test the unit. about 2 hours after doing all of the above the PC BSOD............

Any thoughts please?

So I have 2 x 6GB sata ports and 2 x 3GB sata ports. I will move the connection onto the second 6GB port now

ok I would say it could be three 3 things

windows 7 got corrupted

stream is causing the problem

the updated bios is causing the problem

I would also test your video card  Video Card Stress Test with Furmark

then  uninstall stream using .geekuninstaller

then reinstall stream

also did you run any virus program on the computer?

@ Britec, no dump files created Just the BSOD 0x0000007A KERNEL_DATA_inpage_ERROR

@ Compton, Yes am running Kaspersky Total security. I have tested using a program Heavy load which  has stressed the GPU. but can do Furmark.

Furmark completed no issues

tried to upgrade to win 10 but got a BSOD 000000F4 issue.

Cause

When you resume a computer from sleep or from hibernation, the SATA hard disk drivers require the SATA hard disks to be ready within 10 seconds. However, a large SATA hard disk may take longer than 10 seconds to be ready. In this situation, the resume operation times out.

Resolution

To resolve this issue Download hotfix from Microsoft Support website

Here is some more info on the stop error code

ok if that  hotfix don,t work

then I would downgrade the bios. did you uninstall and reinstall stream?

I would also run a virus scan with malwarebytes

[Image: malwarebytes-icon.png] Scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.
  • Install the progam and select update.
  • Once updated, click the Settings tab, in the left panel choose Detctions & protection and tick Scan for rootkits.
  • Click the Scan tab, choose Threat Scan is checked and click Scan Now.
  • If threats are detected, click the Apply Actions button. You will now be prompted to reboot. Click Yes.
  • Upon completion of the scan (or after the reboot), click the History tab.
  • Click Application Logs and double-click the Scan Log.
  • At the bottom click Export and choose Text file.
Save the file to your desktop and include its content in your next reply.

Thanks Guys,
- Hotfix failed to work. ( this issue has never involved sleep or hibernation it has always occurred while the PC is fully operational)
- Ran full scans with Kaspersky and Malwarebytes nothing found
- Reimaged SSD and whilst doing Windows updates it BSOD again same error message
- Have removed the Patriot SSD and am in the process of imaging a new SanDisk SSD
- Im getting the feeling its either bios or an incompatibility issue, if it BSOD's again then its not the OS or Virus or SDD
Note I had tried to downgrade the bios on a much earlier attempt but was unable to do so it would not recognise the older bios versions
