what rule 20 is saying is that before creating a thread do a search on any forums for a solution to your problem if you are going to post thread on any forums give fair time for areply I would say a week is fair if you are going post on this forum do a search within forum to see if a thread was created with a solution to your problem its not saying cross posting not allow its more like a notice then a rule the rule was no cross posting allowed but the rule was a bit adjusted to be fair

Philip please try and download VLC and install and see if this resolves your issue. This should rule out any codec issue.

I have also remove the warning issued by one of our moderators, due to no reply to his original post on techspot forum. (should of come he first  Cool)

Hi Bri,
The last time I posted on your forum I received a warning notice. IMHO I believe this standard maybe losing you legitimate people trying to resolve their issues prior to going to the computer shop or other computer fix forums. In my situation I think what happened is that I used the same title post from a post I made from Techspot After putting the same title on the post, the rest was not a copy only re-wording the question as Techspot advised that they didn't have an answer for the same. Techspot listed my post with them as being inactive and that is when I came to you. I apologize for any confusion I may have created.

I've listened to your youtube presentations for literally years. The last time I came to your forum I had the same problem. My perception of what seems to be going on is that there is an attitude of warning and possible black listing a user seems to be the norm.

I want to be clear. I've always enjoyed your YouTube presentation but when using the forum I end up feeling like the little red headed kid that always left standing in the corner.

I went ahead and downloaded the Video media player and still no Joy. Thanks again for dropping the warning and look forward to your response

Adobe Flash should be installed by default in Edge, no need to install it again.

Do you have any external FWs that could be stopping / interrupting the Apps?

ok to be fair I did give you the first warning but that was before rule 20 was adjusted

I think RECdevicehelper did give you that Warning by a mistake which was a honest mistake by RECdevicehelper

the forums team that britec have in place is pretty good but sometimes misjudgment can happen

You are right Compton, it was an honest mistake. PhilipMoore1953!, I Apologies for any inconvenience I have caused, this business is not personal, I was just trying to do my job as a moderator. In future I will make sure I understand the rules, before giving out warnings. I am only human like you said and I hope to never stop learning!

Waiting for a response from you fine gentlemen I took it upon myself to try creating a new profile and removing the original profile. This resolved all video issues.  Cool  I've been messing with this issue for months. I had some type of resolution a few months ago from that it went back to it's old tricks of not playing videos inside the MS apps. I'm just wondering now if I will go back over that rocky road and find myself again with no video playing to the MS apps. I'm delighted that it's fixed sure would like to know what the change in profile did to correct the issue.
